The AGO celebrates National Canadian Film Day with a FREE screening of The Embargo Project (2015, 1hr & 12min, in English, French, Mohawk, Sámi, Anishinaabe and Inuktitut), an anthology of five short films by Canadian Indigenous women commissioned by imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. In Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario. Participating in a collective process, each director created a film under restrictions imposed on them by their peers, to push each artist into new creative territory. Roberta by Caroline Monnet; Skyworld by Zoe Hopkins; Bihttos (Rebel) by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers; Intemperance by Lisa Jackson; and Aviliaq (Entwined) by Alethea Arnaquq-Baril.
