The 30th annual Images Festival takes place across Toronto. Focusing on local, national and international contemporary moving image culture, Images Festival continues to present vanguard projects across cinematic, exhibition and live platforms. The Festival includes eight days of screenings, events, performance and exhibitions, and features its International Artist Spotlight on Isaac Julien, and Canadian Artist Spotlight on Deirdre Logue. Leading up to the Festival's weeklong run, Images launches several exhibitions: Isaac Julien at the Royal Ontario Museum in partnership with OCADU; Deirdre Logue at A Space, Gallery 44, and Tangled Art Gallery; Karilynn Ming Ho at Trinity Square Video; Aryen Hoekstra at YYZ Artists' Outlet.; and Jumana Manna at Mercer Union ... more
