Imagining Peace: Walking Labyrinths is a solo exhibition featuring work by Bruce Parsons. This exhibition, which came together starting in 2012, focuses on the use of a wide range of materials, such as mural paintings, objects, watercolour on paper, video and installation. Join us for the kick-off to our 2016-2017 season of Family Sundays as we explore the wonder and awe of "little things", and the fascinating practice of making tiny objects and miniatures – all inspired by the Small Wonders: Gothic Boxwood Miniatures exhibition. Make a "Museum in a Box" – create your own tiny miniature art gallery. In the Hands-On Centre, we are playing with and making little things ... handmade beads, digging in our sensory sand box, I Spy-ing, drawing, and more.

It's cosmic, intergalactic "super stars" fun! The Canadian Sesquicentennial Quilt – In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Canada, and as part of the inaugural Canadian Craft Biennial organized by the Art Gallery of Burlington and Craft Ontario, you are invited to submit a quilted square to be included in The Canadian Sesquicentennial Quilt. Participants are encouraged to share their ideas and memories about their region and of what it means to be Canadian. We are seeking submissions from all across Canada. Quilted squares can be 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm) or 6 x 6 inches (15 x 15 cm). No other format will be accepted. The quilt will be exhibited as part of the Biennial. Deadline: April 30, 2017.
