Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art is a beautiful gallery space in the heart of downtown Guelph that has rapidly become a destination for individuals and groups who appreciate and collect fine art. The gallery specializes in a variety of media including paintings, works on paper, jewellery, metal sculpture and glass by some of Canada's finest nationally and internationally recognized artists.
Isaacs has lived in both Toronto and Montreal, worked in the field of Inuit art for 12 years, published an art & gallery guide, and worked as a fundraiser for several arts events and organizations. Like her father, Av Isaacs (one of the first gallery owners in Canada to exhibit contemporary art), she's made it her goal to expose people to art and help advise them about what makes it important. As a curator, as well as an art consultant, Isaacs continues to team up with commercial and public galleries to place important works by emerging, mid-career, established and senior artists in private and corporate collections throughout the region and beyond.
Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art is ideally situated in a city that boasts critically acclaimed music festivals, dance companies, design and illustration houses, artist studios, award-winning restaurants, as well as the Art Gallery of Guelph and the University of Guelph which currently has one of the finest specialized studio art programs and MFAs in the country.
