admission: FREE. Donations are welcome. Underground parking is located at University Avenue and Stuart Street. Free aboveground parking is available in Queen's University's outdoor lots on weekends and after 5pm weekdays.

: Bellissimo, featuring Bill Bosworth and Lise de Kok, is a piano / violin duo presenting The American Songbook. This will be the first opportunity in Kingston to see the spectacular recent addition to the Bader Collection: a magnificent imaginary architectural scene by the Venetian painter Bernardo Bellotto (1721-1780), with a presentation by Jacquelyn Coutré, Bader Curator / Researcher of European Art ... more
INSIDE AGNES Music and Art Series.
This monthly series features music in the Etherington House at 2pm, followed by tea and conversation, and then, at 3pm, a revelatory art talk. Organized by member volunteers. Admission is FREE. All are welcome.
9 Oct: Harpist Merrilyn Barber performs in the Etherington House at 2pm, followed by tea and conversation. Starting at 3pm in the Atrium, Curator of Canadian Historical Art Alicia Boutilier will discuss paintings from the collection now on view in a talk titled "When the Canadian Art World Came to Queen's: Artists at the 1941 Kingston Conference."
13 Nov: Wassermusik Trio is composed of Inka Brockhausen, Konrad Wolf and Alan Grant, an ensemble of piano, cello and flute that has been playing chamber music for many years. The performance takes place at 2pm in historic Etherington House, followed by tea and conversation. A short, focused presentation on art follows at 3pm. Curator of Indigenous Art Dr. Norman Vorano will share experiences and insights garnered through his recent research for the upcoming exhibition Picturing Inuit Modernity: North Baffin Drawings from 1964.
11 Dec: Featuring Canta Arya Strings and a special presentation by Scott Wallis on the technical design aspects of exhibition-making in dialogue with Gallery Director Jan Allen.
8 Jan: Featuring Kingston resident and musician Spencer Evans; and Curator of Contemporary Art Sunny Kerr discussing the exhibition The hold: studies in the contemporary collection.
12 Feb: Featuring the Badass Brahms Chamber Collective; and in the African Gallery, Public Programs Manager Pat Sullivan discussing the exhibition Stories to Tell: Africans and the Diaspora Respond to the Lang Collection.
12 Mar: Fiddle Earth is a Kingston-based band specializing in folk, Celtic and country music (Brent Schneider, vocalist and lead guitar; Alice Ching-Chew, vocalist and tenor guitar, Mary A. Kennedy and Ted Chew on fiddle). Curator of Canadian Historical Art Alicia Boutilier presents the 2017 Isabel Bader Fellow in Textile Conservation and Research Sophia Zweifel and Graduate Intern Gennifer Majors. They will discuss their research project investigating historical cleaning methods used on the Queen's University Collection of Historical Dress.
