F8: A Sense of Place features photography by members of F8. Members of the group travel widely in search of photographic inspiration, and in this exhibition, each of them has chosen one place that especially inspires them. For all of them, their photography expresses a strong emotional connection to their chosen places. They have an internal curating process that allows them to choose the best of their individual offerings and to ensure that each image meets the criteria of the theme. Oct 10: Sasa Rajsic. To Un-Become is a project based on the artist's recent journey from his first refugee house in Serbia to his former home in Croatia. Sasa Rajsic's practice explores diaspora as a space of possibility in which the hybridity of identity creates an opportunity to see and understand things from multiple viewpoints ... more

Oct 3: Barbara Hobot. "Can an artwork make itself?" Barbara Hobot will unravel this question by examining by examining ancient philosophies of nature, alchemy, and contemporary art practice. Her lecture will also touch on a research trip to Chile where she visited fog-catching nets, and how these objects have potential for political resistance.
