The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery provides supportive education programs for children, teens, families and adults. Our public programs offer multiple pathways for engagement with contemporary artworks and art-making practices. Using Gallery exhibitions as a starting point, individuals develop arts vocabulary, arts appreciation, and cultivate confidence in their interpretations of contemporary artworks. Sat 19 Aug 2017, 1-4pm:
Birch Bark and Quill Workshop with Rebecca Baird. Participants will have the opportunity to create a design using porcupine quills on birch bark. This technique is unique to the Indigenous people of North America. Artist Rebecca Baird will have samples of different designs, but participants are welcome to bring their own designs. Rebecca has previously exhibited at the Gallery as part of the exhibition, Tributaries: Midway 'twixt earth and heave.
$45 (+HST) per person.
