Mary Wong: Breathe.
Inspired by her love of nature, Mary Wong's paintings explore the connection between the beauty and turbulence in nature to the layers of human experiences. Strongly influenced by the Romantic era, Wong's painterly imagery brings to life a dreamscape of secluded caverns, windswept skies over rocky terrain and still waters. Instilled in her pictorial constructions is a shifting state of flux as her impasto mark-making allows threads of self-reflection and contemplation to freely traverse the landscape ... more
